UPDATE - April 16, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. 

-Peggs Mountain Road 600m East of 864 - CLOSED until further notice. Do not attempt to drive on water-covered roadways as road surfaces may be compromised underneath. 

-Hill and Gully Road at civic #2 & #51 - REMAINS CLOSED

UPDATE - April 15, 2026 at 1:15 p.m.

-Stoney Rd at the Armour/Ryerson border, closest civic #370 & Rosskopf Rd have both been reopened.

ROADS UPDATE - April 15, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.

Rosskopf currently remains open but will be closed within the next hour for a culvert replacement.

All remain closed at this time:

-Hill and Gully Road at civic #2 & #51

-Stoney Rd at the Armour/Ryerson border, closest civic #370

-Royston Extension at civic #2013

We ask resident to continue driving with caution and to report any road issues to the township office by calling 705-382-3232 or by calling Fred Schmeltz, Roads Supervisor by calling 705-783-0064.

We thank you for your patience and understanding while our roads department continue to carry out the necessary repairs.

UPDATE - April 14, 2026 at 4:25 p.m.:

Rosskopf Rd at civic #311 has been temporarily repaired. Please drive with caution.

The following roads will remain closed until water levels subside and our roads crew can begin repairs.

-Hill and Gully Road at civic #2 & #51 -

-Stoney Rd at the Armour/Ryerson border, closest civic #370

-Royston Extension at civic #2013.

NOTICE - Significant Weather Event Declaration Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 12:45 p.m. – Road Conditions

A Significant Weather Event has been declared in accordance with Section 16.9 of Ontario Regulation 239/02 due to the significant rainfall which has resulted in flooding and road washouts. There remains a continued risk of additional road flooding.

The following roads are currently closed and are impassable:

-Royston Extension at civic #2013

-Rosskopf Road at civic #311

As water levels continue to rise throughout the Township, all travel should be undertaken with caution, and avoid driving through standing water. If any hazards or risks are identified, please contact Fred Schmeltz, Roads Supervisor immediately at (705) 783-0064.
